No buses go direct from Sravanabelagola to Hassan or Belur – you must go to Channarayapatna (Rs 8, 20 minutes) and catch an onward connection there. Three direct buses a day run to both Bengaluru (Rs 74, 3½ hours) and Mysore (Rs 45, 2½ hours). Nearly all long-distance buses leave before 3pm; if you miss these, catch a local bus to Channarayapatna, 10km northwest, which is on the main Bengaluru–Mangalore road and has lots of connections.
