Royal Orchid Metropole Mysore
Lonely Planet review
This recently renovated hotel was originally built by the Wodeyars to serve as the residence of the Maharaja’s British guests. A fascinating colonial structure with bona fide old-world charm, it has 30 rooms oozing heritage, and a stay here is spiced up with several add-ons such as occasional magic, music and dance performances. The friendly and efficient management is among the best that Karnataka’s hotels have to offer.
