I am planning a family vacation to India and am looking into a company called "India car plus driver" this is a different company than the better known "India care and driver" and I'm having trouble finding reviews. Has anyone used their services? What was the experience like?
Thank you so much,
We will arrive off an overnight train in Varanasi, and then have two days in the city before moving on on the third day. Which ghats in particular would you recommend visiting (we are staying near Assi Ghat) and what times of day is it best to take a boat trip? We are keen photographers so any other recommended trips would be great!
I have approx 4 and a half days to spend in jaisalmer and Jaipur which is going to be 5 nights
I will be traveling to jaisalmer first from Jodpur by car and then to Jaipur also by car (Very long journey)
Where should i spend most off my time?. I i wll be arriving in jaisalmer at just before evening time
I will have to leave Jaipur first thing in the morning

I've been considering doing the Chadar trek, however i realize that most places recommend doing the trek in mid-Jan. I'd like to know if it's possible to complete the trek in Late December. I am planning to fly in on the 23rd of December and fly out on the 4th of Jan. Will that window allow me to do the Chadar trek? Is the trek even open at that time of the year?
If not, what other winter options would you suggest for that time window (granted it's really small but i'm trying to make…
Hello everyone (:
Over the last few days Ive become more and more anxious about the visa process. On February 22nd Im getting married to my amazing Indian fiance (who's already gone back to India to start planning the wedding.) in India. But before I can join him, I need to get myself a visa. Now my biggest worry is that I am currently unemployed and I'm afraid that might get in the way of things. According to CKGS if I put down self employed or housewife I need to send in bank statements...but…
New to this forum and having troube finding the help I am looking for. I am planning a trip to india starting end of november and was thinking between 2 and 3 months. Would love any help on planning an itinerary. I am very easygoing and planning on backpacking alone through the country. I want to go all around and see as much as possible, not just stay in one area. Would really appreciate any help, advice and itineraries anyone could give me.
I am on the verge of applying for my visa to India and I am a bit confused by what the website wants me to submit with regards to passports. I have dual nationality, South African (where I am originally from) and UK and I live in the UK.
On the http://in.vfsglobal.co.uk/touristvisa.html site it clearly states:
**Dual Nationality Citizens
Applicants holding dual nationality/passports are requested to apply on the passport of the country of origin.
Kindly look into the following…
Arriving 28/12-04 before noon and might spend the day and evening checking out sights with chartered taxi.
Any ideas on what to look for. Guess the weather won´t favour to much outdoor aktivities and we want to avoid the obvious disneyword types and "must sees" that holds little real value.
Might shack up in a hotel close to the railway station, looks like its only a short walk to Old Dehli if that´s something to do instead of the taxi sightseing.
So is there anything obvious we just have to…
Now i am planning my first trip to India, and the most possible will be the only one, and when i search information about India, looks most part of the people just travel to North and some times make a fast view to Nepal. Unless they want go to Goa for beaches, party...
I want be sure i made a good choice making the reverse, going to South and the most important of the North, Agra and Varanasi.
The most important to me are the small and always missed temples, watch the real people life,…
