From the bus stand (228508), frequent services run to Gulbarga (Rs 50, three hours), which has good express-train connections to Mumbai and Bengaluru, as well as to Hyderabad (Rs 69, 3½ hours), Bijapur (Rs 131, eight hours) and Bengaluru (deluxe/AC Rs 380/707, 12 hours).

The train station, around 1km southwest of the bus stand, has daily services to Hyderabad (chair Rs 27, 4½ hours) and Bengaluru (sleeper/2AC Rs 295/801, 17 hours).
