Valley of the Flowers Tour Oporator

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone can make suggestions for a tour operator for the VOF. I will be travelling solo so want to be in a group for this portion of my trip.

I have heard Blue Poppy is good, though they seem very expensive.
GMVN is cheaper but I am hoping for a weekend departure and theirs is on Tuesdays
India Hikes?
Dream Mountain?
Anything else?

Many thanks

India tightens visa rules - fingerprinting & need to appear in the consulate in person

That means that every Polish applicant will now need to add a compulsory trip to Warsaw to the cost and hassle of arranging an Indian visa. I suppose that the…

Possible good news for travelers to Kolkata

This might just be a benefit to travelers soon. It comes on the heels of the recent annoucement that the phone company would make all of India Wi-Fi enabled in 5 years (this was not all good news, it will cost after a free period).

I hope they pull this off...

Kolkata to go fully Wi-Fi in two months' time

And you thought YOUR day was bad...

Not exactly travel or tourism, but just might make you think again about a camel safari...

And if you hadn't heard of this before, this is the same camel that bit off a guy's head a few days ago... I think he would have been better off with a puppy ;)

Killer camel bites off owner’s arm.

Don't know if this will impact anyone's travel plans but thought it better to post than not...

Kerala

My wife and I are looking to stay in the region of Kerala in October or November for 7 nights. We will fly into kochi and would like to stay in one place being able to experience India and take in some sightseeing. We would like the option of a day or two relaxing on a beech as well! Does anyone have any recommendations which area of Kerala we should stay in and any recommendations for accommodation.
