Absolutely OUTSTANDING

This was my 4th visit to Ladakh, 2nd in winter. All four were organized by Overland Escape. Their service is absolutely outstanding. Not once there was a goof-up and I am delighted with their offerings (it is VERY difficult to please repeat visitors like me). We booked our trip out of our home country with the office in Ladakh and found very good advice to make the best out of our visit in Ladakh. All the arrangements were satisfied extremely accurate, the guides were competent and friendly. Overland Escape helped plan and organize our trip of 10 people to Ladakh. They helped us decide the itinerary, places to visit and things to do. They recommended good hotels and gave good vehicles.
Everyday, their representative would meet us and discuss how the day went and give us an idea of what to expect the following day.
We were all very very happy with the service and their organizing skills. I would very highly recommend them to anybody who is visiting Ladakh. They know it best and will show you the very best of Ladakh !

Great trekking outfit

I have trekked with overland escape twice in 2005 hwen we did the markha valley trek and in 2011 when we did tsomoriri. on both occasions the arrangements had been excellent, we had great fun, excellent guidance/ support and not to forget excellent food. Also when we were stuck in leh in 2005 due to unseasonal snow leading to the Manali leh road and leh airport being closed for 3 days, the proprieter Tundup Dorjey got us out of Leh in a most effective manner. Also I have found tundup very helpful and extremely transparent in all his dealings which (the second point in my opinion is quite rare for the industry). Would definitely do any future Lakdh trips with him anytime. - Uday Shanbhag

I have travelled with teams of Overland Escape on 6 occasions now and every single time the experience was wholeheartedly positive.
On two occasions, Tundup organised lengthy treks through remote parts of Ladakh, Zanskar and Nubra and his organisation was absolutely reliable and spot on on every occasion. The trekking teams we travelled with were excellent, the food outstanding and the support available whenever it was needed.
We were trekking during the floods in Summer 2010 in Zanskar and Changtang, and were, ultimately, the only trekking group that reached Tso Moriri during the middle of August, in the week just after the flooding. This was due to the competence of our guide, Namgyal, who changed our route to enable us to proceed, who knew exactly where to cross the swollen rivers and who kept us completely safe at all times.
On 4 occasions, Overland Escape organised Easter expeditions through the Markha Valley for relatively large school groups. This, of course, needed extraordinarily good organisation, and on each occasion, this was exactly what we got. Not only were all timings kept and all information was relevant and 100% reliable, the trekking teams Tundup organised for us, were amongst the best teams I have ever travelled with. In particular, Namgyal is in all likelihood the best guide I have ever trekked with. His knowledge of the region, its culture and wildlife is outstanding, and he is also an excellent travel companion. He can empathise with and enthuse adults and youngsters to the same degree.
Overland Escape certainly is one of the best trekking outfits I have come across in the Himalayas or indeed anywhere in the world (I have also trekked in Nepal, Tibet, Pakistan, Peru and Jordan). I would wholeheartedly recommend travelling with this organisation.Good for: A superb trekking outfit

Both Sangey and Bharat dai are excellent in their respective position as trip guide and cook. We were really impressed by their expertise and I would even say that they have set benchmark for my trips in other parts of the Indian Himalaya.
