Awesome adventure, special people
mattandnat recommends this,
We had a universally excellent experience with the whole team at Dreamland and we cannot recommend them highly enough. They were efficient, friendly, cheerful, informative, responsive and everything went exactly according to plan - which has not been our experience with other operators in India.
We booked our trek from Australia and via email exchanges were able to work out the best plan for our family (we have 2 boys aged 9 and 10 years old). All of the team were great from the guys who picked us up at the airport to Javeed, the owner. We did a 4-day trek including a 4,900m pass (Stok La) and the team (guide, cook, assistant cook, pony guy) were very cool, from the 6am wake-up cup of tea delivered to our tent, to the delicious meals each night. They were particularly generous to the kids, making sure that they had suitable food, playing cards with them, chatting and joking, as well as pointing out things of interest along the way.
Back in Leh, after the trek, one of our boys got a stomach bug he couldn't shake easily, and needed to see a doctor. Although we were no longer their responsibility, both Javeed and our guide (Achuk) came with us and helped negotiate our way to a doctor who spoke English. They were genuinely concerned and keen to ensure that Matt got the attention he needed.
We all had a fabulous, memorable experience in a spectacular part of the world, mostly as a result of the cheerful attention, professionalism and local knowledge of the Dreamland team. We would recommend them to anyone and many operators in more developed parts of the world could learn from their example.

Irresponsible and rude staff with no respect for customer
flyingabhi does not recommend this,
Hi,
We went to Dreamland mostly because it was highly recommended on internet although it was relatively costlier. We wanted to do rafting from Chilling to Nimmu and we inquired about this at many places but all said that it this stretch of rafting is not happening because of some repair work being done on some bridge on the way. But, when we contacted Dreamland, they said that there is no problem and it will be done next day. On 11th Sep, 2011, we paid Rs.2000 as advance for three people for single day rafting from Chilling to Nimmu and they asked us to come next day at 8:30am. Next day when we reached there they said that Chilling to Nimmu is not possible, but we can opt for some other single day stretch (of lower grade). When we wanted to ask why did you told us that this can be done even when we told you that most of the tour operators are saying that it is not possible they said that they didn’t know (which is highly improbable and if they actually didn’t knew then they are not good enough as almost everyone knew). But the most shocking thing was that the person there (a bald fat man) was not at all apologetic, instead he was very rude and said that talk to the person you gave money to. Finally after little argument he returned the money. But with all this, our one day got wasted. We were there for a very limited time of one week and wasting a day was not something we could afford but sadly it happened and we were mostly disappointed by the way these people behaved. -
"The beauty of the nature and people were so Pure and Raw"
jazzdillon recommends this,
This trek was one of the best experiences of my life. I have had many adventurous experiences across the world, but the this was unique. The customer service was outstanding. The team at Dream Ladakh helped us book out trek from Australia- they were informative, helpful, easy to communicate with, and directed us to choose the right trek with the small amount of time we had. We were picked up from the airport free of charge, taken care of at the office while they so calmly too care of sorting out the most suitable accommodation for the few nights before our trek. Naturally we had altitude sickness kicking in- but drinks and snacks provided we soon felt much calmer ourselves. The team are friendly and kind and go out of their way to help you with any questions you have and offer help where ever they can. The actual trek itself was PURE MAGIC. This part of the world is so pure and untouched, the nature, the people, the whole experience. It was hard work over our Markha Valley 8 day trek, but with an excellent and experienced guide who spoke good English, was super fit, full of knowledge, and such a genuine kind person, it made it very safe and enjoyable- even when climbing 5,200m.
As vegans we had no trouble at all with the right food be provided, with a great cook. So much food was available for us. The tents and equipment provided where in great condition and we were always warm and dry. The horses and donkey which carried all the gear were well fed and cared for by the pony man. They all looked very happy and healthy compared to some of the others horses we saw along the way.
Dream Ladakh were professional, have fantastic knowledge and experience, but what I liked the most is how trustworthy they were!!!Good for: adventure, All tourists, hiking trekking walking, Fit people of all ages, amazing nature

tenikom recommends this,
13-days trekking from Lamayuru to Marteseland-Hemis. Stupendous trekking with breathtaking landscapes and 4 passes to cross at a max. altitude of 5200 m above sea level. Beautiful lived experience, thanks also to the professionalism, experience and support of Dreamland Trek & Tours. Our deep appreciation to the whole Dreamland team (guide Stanzin , cook Siddar and pony men) who accompanied us throughout the two-weeks trekking.

Beyond expectations!
louca recommends this,
For the second time in 3 years when we asked Dreamland Trek & Tour to set up a "customised" 10-day trekking in the Markha valley for the 2 of us and our 13-year old daughter on horse very professionally, we contacted them without hesitating for a 12-day Lamayuru-Stok trek including Stok Kangri climbing in 2011. Once again we both appreciated their management team quality of service and constant availability together with the professionalism, efficiency and friendliness of the team during the trek: guide, cook, poneyman and mountainguide for the summit. Equipment, itinerary and camping places choices were excellent without speaking of the quality and freshness of Indian meals carefully prepared by a young Nepalese cook which added to our daily delights as icing on the cake!

What you need for a perfect trip!!!
hannenorway recommends this,
It was my first ever visit to India and also to Ladakh and I wanted to arrange my trek in advance. I went on the chat room here and found so many good reviews (backed up on other websites) that I decided to book my Markha Valley trip with DreamLadakh. It was great communication from day 1 and on arrival we were met and taken to the offices where we met the team to chat through the plans. From the moment the trek started until we were dropped off at Leh airport afterwards we were looked after so well. We had a team of 3 - a lovely guide Nurbu, talented cook Lakba and jolly horseman Angdu. They were so respectful (we were 2 girls travelling on our own), informative, smiley and hard-working during the 8 day trip we did not want to leave. Nothing was too much trouble. Always greeted with tea after the treks or at wake up......3 course meals cooked on fire - even cakes were baked! Cannot recommend DreamLadakh enough!!!!!!

Dreamland Trek & Tour offers more than just a trekking tour!
vitake recommends this,
Dreamland Trek & Tour offers more than 'just' a trekking tour. The trekking is guided by very helpful, proffesional and friendly guides. Even the food was daily prepared very nicely. The guides never hesitated to adapt the tours to our own tempo and needs. They made our trip unforgettable.

perfectly organised trekking!!
dagmar2 recommends this,
We made a perfectly organised trekking in the Himalayas. Our hiking tour was led by a big hearted and attentive guide and a helpful and friendly crew. They knew the Himalayas by heart. We could enjoy a cup of delicious tea each morning and the food was the best I ever ate in India.
Thank you Dreamland Trek & Tour for the nice experience!Good for: Himalayas

Dreamland was just beyond expectation!
jaapdegraaf recommends this,
This year I went with two families (4 adults, 4 children) to Ladakh in India and did a trekking in the Markha Valley (9 days). The trekking organisation we took was Dreamland Trek & Tour in Leh. This organisation was excellent in every aspect. The information on the site and through email was clear, quick and to the point. The organisation of the trekking was 100%. Good staff, new gear, lovely food, strong and healthy horses, friendly guides and a ecological approach. They just finished a garbage cleaning trek in the valley so that everything is cleaned up.

Great people, amazing tour!
liesbethreynders recommends this,
Our Dreamland experience was certainly a very postive one, mainly due to two things.
First of all: the tour. Ladakh is probably one of the most beautiful areas on earth and more and more people are discovering this. Nonetheless we didn't see a single other tourist during our five-day trip. What we did get to see was some incredible scenery, wildlife and a sense of authentic village life.
The second thing that made the tour great was the team accompanying us: the assistance of our guide, the delicious food, the wake-up tea in the morning and the sense of home-coming when seeing our small blue tents on our arrival every evening. Thanks for the beautiful memories!

A comfortable yet unique journey
lauratack recommends this,
Our stay in Ladakh was a unique experience. I enjoyed the pleasant mix of culture and nature; while walking to secluded and age old Tibetan monastery’s, I often was amazed at the extraordinary scenery. For me, hiking is the best way to get acquainted with a foreign culture. This acquaintance was made even more agreeable because of the good care and reliability of Dreamland Trek & Tour. No worries during this comfortable journey, just walking, experiencing and, in the evening, enjoying a delicious meal, carefully prepared by the accompanying staff.

An unforgettable stay and trek in Ladakh thanks to Dreamland
arnaud1101 recommends this,
A few days visiting the Indus valley (temples, high passes, etc.) and its incredible landscapes, then 8 days trekking in the Markha Valley. Everything was perfect: good accommodation in the valley, nice driver ; then nice guide (and excellent cooker as well) and efficient poneyman on the trek. Thanks to this organization, we really enjoyed the colorful landscapes, the wildlife, and the trek in general.
We would recommend Dreamland to everybody willing to go to Ladakh!
One day, we will come back, chosing the same company without hesitating.Arnaud

I can recomend Dremland to my friends
martingabarain recommends this,
My name is Martin Gabarain, i am from Spain. I have been several times in the Himalayas and Tibet; Nepal, Bhutan....and on the last two years i have visited Ladakh, with my family and friends.I have a certain experience with treks and staff and i can assert that Dreamladakh (Dreamland Trek and Tour) is a very good agency and is able to deal very well with all kind of difficulties that can arise on a trek. We first did a trek trough Zanskar and all the material was exellent, the guide very kind and taking care of everithing, and so it was the rest of the crew and the cook. This year we stayed in Ladakh and allthough the inconveniences created by the terrible flood that parcialy assolated the country, they were able to offer us a pleasant stay. I can recomend this agency to my friends and i am sure that they will be also satisfied

Excellent Tour Company Operator - Flexible, Honest. Use them
grizzlygroup recommends this,
My wife and I had opportunity to use Dreamland Trek&Tour during a month in Ladakh. Javeed and his staff were most helpful. We organized our tour over the internet due to recommendations from other Canadians. Javeed met us at the airport and ensured we were well looked after throughout our trip including accommodation, guides, tour drivers, pony boys - in fact the lot! We did change our trekking schedule and Javeed met the challenge, was flexible, and as a result we also squeezed in a trip across Khardung La into the Nubra Valley after our trip up the Markha and into Rupshu. We enjoyed Leh, our trek and sightseeing journeys to a very interesting land with many excellent gompa's combined with a rich cultural heritage. Dreamland kept us well physically as we went to altitude and we were pleased with their approach to the environment in Ladahk. We found Javeed and his staff to be friendly and helpful throughout. There are many tour operators in Leh, but Dreamland stands out as a professional, honest, competent and well run company.
