I am staying in Chail (near Shimla) for 2 weeks in late July, and I would like to go on a trip into the mountains at the weekend.
Ideally I would like to go somewhere beautiful, mountainous, but most importantly that there is a reliable bus route.
I would love to visit McLeod Ganj/Dharamshala but I can't find any buses. Are there bus routes? If it is possible I could leave on Friday , bus overnight, spend the night in McLeod Ganjg then get the bus back for Monday. Does this sound possible?

If…

I have googled. The information from Google is not clear.

Do any of you who've been to Goa know anything about a foreigner being able to study Portuguese at a language center or other school?

Private teacher of Portuguese available?

Thanks in advance if you have any info.

Deciding on a route from Udaipur to Jodhpur which we want to cover within one day. Interesting places along the way seem to be Om Banna (motorcycle shrine, this is the most interesting to us), Ranakpur (people seem to like it but from pictures it does not look all that great) and Kumbhalgarh (worried about seeing too many forts in Rajasthan, is this really worth the detour?). Are there any other interesting places along the way?

A few questions:

With an early start (7-8am) is it possible to…

Hi,

I will be in India this July/beginning of August and would love to do a 3 or 4 day, moderate trek somewhere with nice weather and beautiful scenery. Thinking Valley of Flowers, but not sure we have enough time, and would love to know other options.

We would have to leave Delhi on Sunday and be back by Wednesday night or Thursday morning. We will not have our own camping gear so it would have to be with a guide that provides gear rentals...

Any ideas/itineraries?

Thanks!

I've been trying to get the mobile OTP for some time now.
I followed the instructions given by Seat61 and sent an email requesting the mobile OTP with my passport attached.

I received an email saying:
(2016-06-10)
"Your user id verification process completed successfully.
Please contact us in case you need any further assistance."

They did not sent me any OTP and when I tried to log in they were still asking for the mobile OTP, so I sent another email explaining my situation that was still…

Hi, I have read alot from this forum but some advice would still be appreciated for my itinerary.

I will be flying into Chennai second week of July and flying out of Kochi after 10 days. I understand that this will be monsoon season and rain will affect travels.

My initial plan was a fairly straight forward way from east to west coast:
Chennai
Trichy
Madurai
Alappuzha (for day time backwater boat ride)
Kochi

However, having read more, I think I would find Mysore more interesting than the temples…
