Hotel Srikhand
Classier than most HPTDC properties, this stone and timber hotel is styled on the temple and enjoys panoramic views over the valley. Rooms are tastefully decorated and the restaurant serves decent food.

Trehan’s has friendly owners and a range of compact rooms with TVs. The more-expensive rooms have fine valley views.
The obvious place to stay is within the ancient temple precinct and, unlike most temple accommodation, rooms here are far from gloomy and austere. Dorm rooms are basic, but the upper-story rooms are bright and airy, with hot water.
