The market town of Mapusa (pronounced ‘Mapsa’) is the largest town in northern Goa, and is most often visited for its busy Friday Market which attracts scores of buyers and sellers from neighbouring towns and villages, and a healthy intake of tourists from the northern beaches.
On Arossim Beach’s approach road you’ll find the Treasure. If you’re a fan of the gorgeous Goan vintage furniture you’ll see gracing many of the state’s old homes and higher-end hotels, pick up your own pieces here from a selection that ranges from dripping chandeliers to carved four-poster beds.
