Lonely Planet review
A Panaji institution (these days with just a touch of the institutional) for more than 50 years, the Mandovi offers comfortable, though dated rooms, many looking out onto the wide Mandovi River. If the urge for sweet things strikes, you’ll enjoy A Pastelaria, an old- fashioned cake shop; there’s also a little – but well-stocked bookshop (with plenty of titles on Goa) and three restaurants, including the pleasant Quarterdeck just across the road. Check-out, unusually for Panaji, is at noon. Courtesy airport drop-off coach available at scheduled times: ask for the latest departure times.
Our independent authors have visited Hotel Mandovi and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Panaji.
