Most of Palolem’s accommodation is of the simple beach-hut variety, with little to distinguish where one outfit stops and next door’s begins, particularly as huts become annually closer and closer packed together. Since huts are dismantled and rebuilt with each passing season, standards can vary greatly from one year to the next: it’s best to walk along the beach and check out a few before making your decision. A simple hut without attached bathroom will usually cost upwards of ₹600, while something more sophisticated can run to ₹2500 and well beyond. Colomb also has some good options, and you’ll still be within walking distance to Palolem. Note that many beach huts operations these days offer free wi-fi.
