Quick question that I am confused about and hope someone could shed some light on:
I have applied for and been granted an e-visa for India for this month. But the email confirmation states..
- Please carry a copy of this e-Tourist Visa (eTV) at the time of Travel.
So what exactly should I be taking with? I have an email status with the application ID and saying that the E-Visa is granted but apart from that is there some sort of official document that I am missing? Basically what is the…
I will be arriving in Mumbai at 2am on 26th Dec 2016. I was planning on staying in the Colaba area for 2 days before catching a train south to Gokarna then Kerala. Most of the hotels I have looked at have their earliest check-in time at 12 noon. It would not be a nice waiting for several hours in a hotel reception after a long flight before I could access my room. Does anyone know of some hotel that has 24hr check in and that is on the budget side of things? Or any other suggestions about…
We (family with small kids, living in Delhi) are thinking of destinations for a week away in July or August. We know this is monsoon time but we think we can deal with some rain. We'll probably stay in the same place the whole time, when it rains a lot we'll stay in. Our hope is to find a place we can do some walking in a natural environment but where flooding or landslides are unlikely to happen. We were thinking of Cherrapunji or somewhere in Great Himalayan National Park, though are open to…

Main plan is to slowly travel north from Delhi to Leh, via Rishikesh, Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala, spending a few of days in each area and maybe a week in Leh/Ladakh. Then I will travel across to Srinagar, stay for a few days and fly to Delhi. Most journeys would be bus/taxi/shared car. Could this all be done in around 4 weeks?
If so, I am…

I will be flying into Delhi airport at 1 am with Lufthansa, and I have a domestic flight with Air India at 10.30. I am planning to stay in the airport and wait for my domestic flight. Can anyone recommend is it ok to stay, is there a place to rest?
I got my e-Visa, so I understand that I have to go through immigration in Delhi airport and I understand that I have to leave the…
Hi! I´m in Goa by myself . Will now head to some beaches in the north. If there´s anyone around, it´d be lovely to meet.
Also, does anyone know if it´s worth going to 2-3 islands that are near Vasco de Gama /airport area? are they nice and easily accesible?
hey all, was wondering if any has actually experienced the lifting of the old 2 month out rule in india. one used to have to stay out of india at least 2 months before returning. i hear its been lifted for some years now, but i haven't seen any conformation of it. has anyone out there had the pleasure of successfully returning to india in under 2 months without the 'permission of re-entry" one used to be obliged to get? many thanks
