Lonely Planet review
No beach bar or five-star facilities here, but this upmarket boutique hotel, run by a British brother-and-sister team whose family brews the superstrength Indian truck driver favourite Hayward’s 5000 beer, is a gem of the south Goan coast. Rooms inhabit an old Portuguese mansion and older Hindu house, with sparkling courtyard pool and resident basset hound. There’s also a top-end tent and self-contained cottage on offer.
