Hi Guys,

I am possibly going to make a detour to visit the Golden temple, but I have read you can't take a camera inside. I was hoping to take a pro camera and a tripod... would this really be out of the question, or do people "get away with" taking there EOS inside? Cheers!

Hi
I have been in India but a long time ago. My 50+ colleague is wanting to go to India in September for 3-4 weeks. He was considering a tour that includes Varanasi and the Golden Temple, then to Pakistan border (as wanting to see the change of guards on Pakistan border).

He is looking at organised trips so to show him the power of the internet I wanted to post a forum inquiring about good trips that might include this kind of route.
He'll be flying from NZ. Any names of companies would be…

Hi everybody!

Because I'm travelling with small children to India, arriving on the 25th of July, I decided to start as early as possible with the application for my e-TV(tourist visa). Just to make sure I would have all the time in the world to try again and again if neeeded.

To my big surprise, I managed to get my e-TV granted at my first attempt. It was also handled very, very quickly (not the usual 72 hours, but within 12 hours I received confirmation). This is great news, but it made me a…

Hello,

We will be visiting Kerala for the month of September with our 3 kids (ages 5,6,8). I have been doing lots of research and figure with a month we can cover quite a bit, at a leisurely pace. I would like advice about an itinerary that doesn't backtrack too much. We are flexible about where we fly in and out of. Could be Kochi, Trivandrum, Goa (not sure if we want to finish in Goa, or stay in Kerala the whole time), could also fly out of Mysore or Bangalore.

We know it is the end of…

Hello All,

I've just booked my tickets for Goa dated 9 September and i'll be there for a week!

I want to understand since it will still be the monsoon season there, what could be the places I could explore? Where should I stay? south or north? (personally, I love south more) should I book a shack now or just go there and find one?

Also, I'm looking for a travel partner since i'll be travelling solo.

Would REALLY appreciate if someone could help me with these doubts!

Thanks,
Sam

My husband and I are travelling in India for 3 weeks from 11th September. The plan is to go from Mumbai, down to Goa, Mysore and Kerala, then up to Kolkata.
Whilst there we’d really like to visit Kerala and stay on/ travel on a houseboat in the backwaters.
We’ll probably be there towards the latter half of September.
Ideally we’d like to do a one or two night stay/ trip on a houseboat but are travelling on a budget. Can anyone recommend a houseboat/ company that would be suitable for us around…

My husband and I are travelling in India for 3 weeks from 11th September. The plan is to go from Mumbai, down to Goa, Mysore and Kerala, then up to Kolkata.
Whilst there we’d really like to visit a/ some National Parks and go on a Safari to see as much wildlife as possible (and hopefully spot Tigers). I’m aware this is the end of monsoon season and many of the Parks will still be closed; however I’ve read that Nagarahole and Bandipur Parks will be open. Can anyone recommend which of these two…
