Hello -

My husband and I will be in Munnar over 3-4 days in December and are interested in day trekking around the hill stations and tea plantations in the Western Ghats. Is it possible to hike Meesapulimala on our own or do you have to go with outfitters or with forest rangers (I read you can book through the forest dept but is that required)? Are the treks well marked, mapped out, etc.?

Any advice would be appreciated! We're game for longer hikes (I read Meeshapulimalai can take 8 hrs) or…

Hi all, need a bit of advice. I have a flight booked on Saturday 30th July to Delhi with a return flight 10 days later. I was due to be meeting up with a friend of mine who has been in Delhi for the last 6 months and we were due to be doing a trip round Rajasthan, to Agra, Jaipur, Jodhipur, Jaisalmer and back to Delhi.
Unfortunately she has just cancelled last minute as wants to spend the time with someone else. My flights are non refundable so I'll lose all the money if I don't go so I need to…

hello,
my wife just broke a little bone in her shoulder and cannot carry a backpack for a month. We are travelling to Ladakh beginning of August with our 18 years old daughter and our 21 years old son.
This is the question:
Is it possible to hike the Zanskar path from Padum (more likely Pigmo) to Phanji la (just before Lamayuru) without caryçing too much? Is it possible to just carry the tenst, mats and sleeping bags and to find food along the way? Is it even possible to find places to sleep…

Hi all,

I'm planning to take take some time off and backpack solo in India. I plan to go for 10 days sometime around the 1st 2 weeks in September. However, I heard some areas are not recommended for single women & that there might be rain in other areas.

I'd love to hike and get to go sightseeing..

So....

What would you recommend? North only? South and North? Any tips?

Clueless & excited!!

Thank you so much!!

Therefore the only time period where a trip can work would be May through August. I do not want to wait for the end of my schooling in order to go in October to March, because I woukd want to lol for job immediately and not put it off for 5 or 6 months.

Question is. Is it possible to travel in May (I know. Very…
