This is regarding our (I & My Wife) planned trip to Manali in early November. We have in total 4 days to visit in & around Manali. First 2 days we will be in Manali for local sightseeing.
For the next 2 days (Manali to Manali), we are planning for a short camping where we can experience the beauty of the mountains. My wife has no experience of trekking/camping and this would be her first. So, it also should not be no taxing for her.
Request you to kindly suggest some places to make…
So I have contacted a few companies to get quotes for a 4-5 day Golden Triangle Tour -I arrive in Delhi October 12th and leave October 17th (let the pushy sales begin!). The estimates have all run between $800-$1000 Canadian even though I requested 2 star accommodation. That seems pretty outrageous to me and I am tempted to just give this tour a miss and head straight to Nepal. I am a solo woman traveller so I am not interested in going it alone on the train. Are there any other options besides…
I'm travelling to India for the first time in my summer break June-mid August and I have been made aware that this is monsoon season and not the ideal time to go (however as a student the mid-year is the only time I can travel at the mo!) so I'm keen to go anyway and thinking it will have its benefits in that things may be cheaper less populated by tourists at this time?!
So I just wanted some advice because I've read around blogs for advice & itinerary plans and I haven't seen much on the…
Hi Fellow Travellers!
My name is Lachlan, I am from Australia and I am currently backpacking south India. I have spent the last few days in Fort Cochin. I am looking for someone to accompany me on an overnight backwater cruise departing Alleppey on Friday the 6th of May, returning on the 7th. I was going to do this alone however I have been told that the experience is 10 times better when sharing with someone else. Total cost is 6,500 rupee, which I believe is a very good price for such an…

Hi everyone, My partner and I are thinking about spending a couple of months in Goa. One thing that worries us is the heat and humidity. We are from Canada which is quite cold and have never lived in a humid climate, does anyone know how long it takes to acclimatize? The difference between being right on the coast or inland? We're worried that we'll invest in this trip but be miserable with the heat. What do you think? Frank from Newfoundland
I was planning to travel to New Delhi for 4 days in June for tourism. I will be then going to Nepal for 4 days and then was hoping to return to Varanasi for another 4 days. I plan to apply for two separate e-Tourist visas since they are single entry, but I was wondering if the computer system will allow me to apply for two in a row. I would use one when I entered New Delhi and the other one entering Varanasi.
Has anyone done this before and do you think it would work? I would like to avoid…
Quick question that I am confused about and hope someone could shed some light on:
I have applied for and been granted an e-visa for India for this month. But the email confirmation states..
- Please carry a copy of this e-Tourist Visa (eTV) at the time of Travel.
So what exactly should I be taking with? I have an email status with the application ID and saying that the E-Visa is granted but apart from that is there some sort of official document that I am missing? Basically what is the…
I will be arriving in Mumbai at 2am on 26th Dec 2016. I was planning on staying in the Colaba area for 2 days before catching a train south to Gokarna then Kerala. Most of the hotels I have looked at have their earliest check-in time at 12 noon. It would not be a nice waiting for several hours in a hotel reception after a long flight before I could access my room. Does anyone know of some hotel that has 24hr check in and that is on the budget side of things? Or any other suggestions about…
