Hi everyone
Apologies if this question has been answered elsewhere on the site – I've taken a look around but can't find anything that gives me the answers I'm looking for. Feel free to redirect me if there is already a thread.

My girlfriend and I are planning a trip round India and some of SE Asia for around 5/6 months, and are trying to work out how much we need to save for this. We've never done this sort of thing before so have absolutely no idea.

I've taken a look around and can't find…

Hi, I was traveling in India during 2 months and I always had 3 cameras on me.
It's a very original concept, I'm the actor and at the same time the movie maker.
Everything is filmed at the first interaction with the people and there is no script!
I have a Youtube Channel where I publish my videos. I've already 11 more then 10 minutes.
I hope you will enjoy it :)

Has anybody done the Kinnaur – Kailash Trek starting from Chitkul and if so what are the odds on finding a guide in this village? Thanks

I would be most grateful if someone could advise. I am an Australian passport holder planning on transiting through New Delhi and am wondering if a transit visa is required? I will be flying in and out of New Delhi on two totally different airlines which will involve a transit time of about 10 hours inbetween flights (which will involve bags being picked up and rechecked i would imagine).

Does anyone know if i can obtain a visa on arrival in New Delhi or must i actually formally apply to an…

Hello everyone!

My girlfriend and I met six years ago on the train from Delhi to Amritsar. Now we like to redo this but would love to travel further up north this time (September 2016).

I would like to do the following in three weeks (can make it four)
Delhi - Amritsar - Dharmashala - Srinagar - Leh - Manali - Shimla - Delhi

Is this plan realistic? And what would be the best means of traveling (bus, train, jeep, flight) and what would be the extra stops needed? If someone already did…

Hi all,
A really random question, but can anyone advise how much "Government of India Taxes" should be added to a quote/price for a tour around India? What is the %?
Any advice, greatly appreciated
Cheers

We are planning a trip to Bardia NP and from there to Delhi.

Will be possibile to start early in the morning from Bardia, reach Banbasa and Aldwali, and take the Shatabdi at 3.50 pm to reach Delhi?

I ask because I did not find in the web any information about the lenght of journey from Banbasa to Aldwali, nor about ho many buses there are.

Hi, I'm trying to plan my trip and would appreciate any help.
The general frame is arriving at the begining of september (Delhi/Mumbai - undecided). I have two weeks alone and then I'm meeting my cousin in Delhi, and we have four weeks together. at the end I'll also probably have a few more days alone.
I've already been to some parts of the north - rishikesh, dharamsala, manali, ladakh; and I'm not sure I want to go back, I prefer seeing places that I haven't been to yet.
so far on the list are…

Hi All,

planning a trip to Ladakh at the beginning of October and looking for suggestions. It will be me and a friend

We're there for 2 weeks, both fairly fit, moderately adventurous.

It's our second time to India, though very well travelled elsewhere.

Looking to do some trekking but also experience some of the culture.

If you have something to share that would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

Jamie
