Lonely Planet review for Karim’s

Down a lane across from the Jama Masjid’s south gate (No 1), legendary Karim’s has been delighting Delhiites with divine Mughlai cuisine since 1913. The chefs prepare brutally good (predominantly nonveg) fare: try the burrah (marinated mutton) kebab . During Ramadan it only opens after sunset.

    manishjha18 does not recommend this,

personally speaking i think they have lost their favour.
their specialty burra --trust me it aint great.most of the time they serve you half cooked.
their biryani tastes as if you are in italain restaurant. bland and full of oil..
guys this is i am speaking of karims outlet at jama masjid--their oldest and considered as best one...
to sum up --its overhyped. if you guys love indian food --try other food chain-(oh calcutta , mainland china --the list goes on)

    Karim's A Kings meals at a Common man's Price

    alz19 recommends this,

The food is well cooked ,a treat for the taste buds.It is not for the faint hearted nor the calorie watchers. It is for those who love to gorge on their food.It is like the mecca for muglai food a must visit place for people who live to eat .A wide choice of food is served (though mainly non veg) making selection difficult. The recipes are ancient secrets passed on by the cooks generation to generation from the time of mughal emperors. No wonder the spreads are so lavish and fit for kings. The rich aroma is so irresistible that it make waiting for the food a torture despite the quick service. After a lip smacking meal when you think you can't have any more comes the dessert a heavenly delight worth dying for.
