Lonely Planet review for Big Chill

Khan Market has two film-poster-lined branches of BC, packed with chattering, well-manicured folk. The menu is a telephone directory of continental, Indian and other dishes. Have you ever seen so much cheesecake on a menu? Who’s to quibble when it’s this good?

A casual café that takes its name from the movie and its decor from Hollywood classics. The pizzas and pastas are hearty and tasty. Leave room for dessert, they are extraordinary.

    Italian food with scrumptious desserts

    maitreyi recommends this,

Big chill is an upmarket italian restaurant in New Delhi. The decor is superb with wall to wall posters( most of which i was told were collected by the husband-wife duo during their stay in London and the rest were ordered from various poster places).

The food is extremely filling and the portions served are big. There is alot of choice for vegetarians. The pastas have been very popular over the years. The shakes and smoothies are also worth a try.

But highly recommended are their desserts which are very popular.
The service is slow and the seating time can vary from 15-40 minutes during lunch time. The staff is very pleasant .The restaurant has 3 outlets. Two are in khan market while the third is in kailash colony market.

    Good for: food, Groups, Families

    Big Chill never dissapoints!

    gulmohar recommends this,

To eat the best cheese cakes ever, head to Big Chill! Be it a blueberry cheese cake or an oreo cheese cake - no other restaurant in Delhi offers anything close! And there's more for people who love to spoil themselves with sinfully rich delights - from delightful ice cream combinations to thick malt shakes. There are people I know who go down to Big Chill just to chill out and make a dinner out of these cakes and shakes! Honest!

Then there are usual American pizzas and Italian pastas and risottos - all very good, and very filling. Some of the stuff is too experimental, I suggest you keep yourself from getting too adventurous!

Its ambience is very relaxed and casual. And yes, you will have to end up waiting to get a table - you can be asked to wait for as long as 45 minutes! But hey, the wait will be well worth it!

Good for: Romance, atmosphere, food, Solo Travellers, service, Families

    Favorite Delhi Resturant

    drugstorecowboy recommends this,

This is my favorite place to eat Western food in Delhi. I have enjoyed every meal I have eaten there over the years. The pizza's are fantastic. I do prefer the branch in the alley. My only complaints are that the music can sometimes be to loud (you can ask them to turn it down and they often will) also on weekends it can be really busy. That said I can't think of many places I would rather eat than on the outdoor terrace on the top floor of The Big Chill.
The Big Chill is a short walk from the lovely Lodi Gardens and the book shops in Khan Market where it is located are fantastic.
