Tour description provided by Viator

Learning to make classic North Indian dishes has never been easier! This cooking class, located on a private family estate near Surajkund, introduces you to the culinary delights of Delhi. Learn the basics from a foodie cook with popular dishes like traditional chicken biryani, vegetable pakoras, raita, roti and dal. Enjoy your 3-course Indian meal for lunch and take home the recipes. Numbers are limited to 8 people, ensuring an intimate experience with a small group of like-minded food lovers.

After pickup from your hotel in Central or South Delhi, join your small group at a 5-acre (2-hectare) estate near Surajkund—an approximate 20-minute drive from Greater Kailash II.

Spend the morning cooking in the serene setting of this family ranch, overlooking enormous lawns where peacocks display their colorful plumes. Escape the hustle and bustle of Delhi and enjoy breathing the fresh air as you learn to make some of North India’s most delicious dishes.

Learn from the family matriarch who possesses culinary expertise. She’ll teach you the basics of Indian gastronomy as you create a 3-course meal from scratch. Try your hand at dishes like mint chutney, vegetable pakoras, raita, roti and dal—all served along with a main course such as traditional chicken biryani and khada masala. (Vegetarian options are available upon booking.)

Then sit down with the whole family to enjoy your scrumptious lunch with your small group of foodies. You’ll also learn to make masala chai to drink with your not-too-sweet dessert. Relax amid the lush greenery of your scenic surroundings before you are dropped off at your hotel with a set of recipes to take home with you!
