I visited India last year and on an internal flight, made the acquaintance of a young local woman. We kept in touch and I wrote her that I would be back in India next week, visiting her home city, and I wanted to take her to dinner. She wrote back, saying we should stay in my hotel room and have room service. She is getting married next year, more or less against her will, but she wants to sow some wild oats first. As someone she will never see again, I am apparently perfect.
OK, great, but…
My buddy and I will be arriving in Benaulim on October 13th, we are looking for a place to rent for three months around this area. Anyone have any advice on places to look and if it is best to book ahead of time or start looking once we arrive. We are open to any beach and any kind of atmosphere! We are on a budget of about Rs12,000 per month for a place. Thanks.
We are getting the train for all but one of our legs within India, but do actually have a couple of stops we don't want to miss between Agra and Jaipur.
So on 22nd December we would like to leave Agra in the morning drive to Korai village for 45 minutes, drive to Fatephur Sikri, have a couple of hours there, then drive to Chand Baori Step Well for a 45 minute visit, then continue to our hotel in Jaipur by the evening.
The hotel in Jaipur quoted 5650 inr, inclusive of stops, taxes,…
Below is the tentative itinerary planned so far
Gangtok (including Bagdogra-Gangtok drive)-2N, Lachung (Yumthang, Zero Point) -2N, Gangtok, Gangtok (Nathulla day trip), Darjeeling-3N
The objective is to be able to enjoy the beauty while ensuring the trip isn't too hectic. And we must see and play with snow, or my wife would throw me off one of the peaks :)
I am a little confused about which of the 2 to cover -
Lachung, Yumthang, Zero Point;
I am going from Agra to Fatehpur Sikri and staying there overnight. I wish to get a bus the next morning from Fatehpur Sikri to Jaipur, I have read that there is buses that do this (takes 4.5 hours), but i can not get any further detailed information about this.
Can anyone offer any tips, information or advice about this bus service please? I don't really want to travel back to Agra from Fatehpur Sikri and then get the train to Jaipur.
Thanks in advance guys :)
I will be traveling to Gujarat on the second week of October and I am looking for travel partners. My itinerary and time are flexible and the great rann of kutch is for me a must see. We could decide together the destinations and split the costs!
If anyone is interested just let me know!
I do not have an unlocked cell phone.
Would you recommend that I purchase an unlocked phone in the United States? Or would it be easier/cheaper to purchase a phone in India.
I fly into Mumbai and the next morning I will fly to Amristar - would you recommend I purchase a phone at the Mumbai airport or would you recommend I wait and purchase a phone and sim car in Amristar?
Thanks in advance,
