Getting there & away

There are three buses to Akureyri (Ikr2300, one hour) on weekdays (two at weekends) from June to August, and three on weekdays (one on Saturday, two on Sunday) during winter. Buses also run twice daily to Reynihlíð at Mývatn (Ikr1700, 40 minutes) and once on weekdays to Ásbyrgi (Ikr1900, 45 minutes). The bus terminal is at the Shell petrol station.
