My and my girlfriend 30 years old, have a 2 day stopover in iceland. We'd like to do Blue lagoon and Golden circle. Does anyone know if there is an ice hotel or ice bar we could go to? Should we rent a car?
Any help is appreciated!
We're arriving in KEF very early and our check-in is not till the afternoon, so we were thinking about doing a little exploring before heading to Reykjavik. We will have our bicycles with us and were initially thinking about riding to Blue Lagoon and booking an early spot, when they open at 8:00. I'm wondering if it's worth it. It is pricey just for no frills entry, we won't be doing any spa services or meals, but we will be able to leave our luggage in storage and get a shower, always nice…
Hey! I'm landing at KEF at 11:40pm and booked a room at the hotel 100m away, my plan is to walk since... 100 m. How safe is this, if I was gonna harass some unsuspecting tourists it would be on the path late at night between the airport and the obvious layover hotel.

I clicked on the Panoramaland link on that post and it no longer works.
Any idea how to get in or find similar site?
"Another link I'm finding useful is Panoramaland where you can see 360 images of many of the natural attractions around Iceland. I've discovered a few places that I might not otherwise have stopped at, like this huge cave just east of Vik. I drove right past there last time. This might be more interesting if you're scouting…
Hello everyone! I'm planning to come over to Iceland at the beginning of June to live and work. And I'm looking for a room preferably in Reykjavik. Is there any website which has a listing of rooms. or any specific contact that I could get in touch?
My boyfriend and I are flying in to Reykjavik early morning on July 3rd and flying out mid-morning on July 7th. We've got a rental car tentatively booked (not 4WD, but should be OK in summer, right?), but no accommodations yet as I'm still trying to decide on an itinerary. Given our time constraints it doesn't seem feasible to make it all the way around the Ring Road without just driving the entire time. Here's what I'm considering:
7/3 - get rental car, drive from airport along southern coast…
I'm going to be visiting Iceland for the first time this June. I have rented a compact car (very compact), and I'm wondering about the road between Hólmavik and Bíldudalur on the southern route (via Gufudalur). Is this going to be okay in a car without 4w drive? I know the road is paved, but I'm guessing that the car I've rented isn't going to want to be driving through any streams or gravel or anything like that. I'll be taking the Baldur ferry back. Thanks for any advice!!
hi, has anyone any recommendations of where to stay one night between Akureyri and Grundarfjörður? We do not have a strict budget as some nights we are doing 'cheap' and then some nights not so cheap... I mean cheap in an Icelandic way of course....,
Thanks in advance. - we have rented a 4x4 and going in September.
