I came here after backpacking and camping for one month all around Iceland and away from civilization. Throughout my traveling I met another backpacker who heartily recommended me this restaurant when she found out I was vegetarian. She told me if I ate any proper meal in Iceland this would have to be it.

So there I am, in Reyjkavik for the first time and I literally go here for lunch on my first back into the civilized world. I live in San Francisco, which has the biggest and best vegetarian/vegan community I have ever seen, so this was definitely a total surprise when I first tasted the meal here.

A nice buffet style counter, where you choose and mix what you want to eat and affordable prices. The food has completely a fresh homemade taste and the ingredients and produce are top notch. After hearing many bad things about how bad it is to be a vegetarian in Iceland, this was definitely one of the better vegetarian meals I had while traveling outside of San Francisco.

It will also appeal to non-vegetarians. So if you want to try a relatively small, chilled out restaurant, with incredible fresh food come here. It will definitely make you smile.
