For an Icelandic experience with a difference, ride a Viking horse in the morning or early afternoon and then spend the rest of the day relaxing at the Blue Lagoon on this exciting day trip from Reykjavik.

The Icelandic horse breed has remained virtually unchanged since the Vikings brought them to Iceland in the 9th century. These sure-footed, docile and good-natured animals are ideal for beginners and experienced riders alike. The one-hour riding tour takes you through the outskirts of the capital.

After your riding adventure, you'll be transported to the famous Blue Lagoon for some well-earned relaxation. Once there you have many recreational options to choose from, such as walking in the Blue Lagoon's spectacular surroundings, bathing in the milky blue-green water, relaxing in a geothermal steam bath or releasing the stress from your shoulders under a Blue Lagoon waterfall.

Whilst at the Blue Lagoon you can choose from a regular bathing experience (approximately 20EUR, payable locally) or indulge in one of the spa treatments available. An afternoon to savour!
