It took 12.5 hours and 3 changes to bridge the mere 250km distance. It was only yesterday that we left Levoča

  16. Hungary 2: Quite Continental

    Blog: Aerohaveno: A Travel Blog - 20 May 2010

"That's not a continental breakfast..." As I was growing up in rural Western Australia, occasionally travelling with my family and staying in motels, I became accustomed to the idea that a "continental breakfast" was inherently disappointing. If you were lucky, there might be a sachet of Vegemite as well.

    Blog: The Adventures of D - 26 April 2010

I stood, lost in thought at the taco counter in Pest. "Are you OK?" asked the young man at the counter, in English seeping with a beautiful Hungarian accent. I jogged back into the moment. "Oh, yeah," I said, grabbing my metal tray containing a junior burrito and large beer. "Just thinking." And I left it at that. The truth was, I was OK. But, only kindasortanotreallymaybe.
