    Across from the Tisza hotel, it is one of the most attractive theatres in provincial Hungary. At the forefront of drama in Hungary in the 1970s and '80s, the Szigliget was the first theatre in Eastern Europe to stage Dr Zhivago (1988) - pretty daring stuff at the time.
