Hello,
I'm wife and mother of two planning to travel to Europe next summer. One of cities we plan to visit is Budapest. Although I know a great deal about the history of Budapest, I do not know much about racial attitudes. We are a multiracial family. My husband is white and I am black. I am not overly concerned, but since we are taking our children, I was hoping someone could share their knowledge with me.

Thanks in advance

Hello,
Would really appreciate any advice on where to stay around Lake Balaton, Hungary, in June!
My friend and I (both 20) are interrailing throughout June, and fancied a trip to this amazing lake! The plan was to stay for about 5 nights here in June and we are unsure on which section would best suited as we understand some areas are more family orientated. We wanted somewhere that attracts the younger generation with lots to do and good swimming areas!! Also would be helpful if it's along the…

Main train station. As you get a taxi another man will approach and show you a card and say your hotel is in "zone 1" etc like at airports. And the charge is 7,500F.There are no zones. You will end up paying 39 or 40 euro for a trip of a few km. Refuse and point to window sticker 260Fo per km around 1 euro,

Hello
Am travelling solo to Budapest. I'll be flying in on 10 may to Budapest and Flying out from Berlin on 22 May. I'll be covering the Vienna Bratislava Prague Berlin also Cesky Krumlov when in Czech. I wanted to know what is the cheapest way to travel within these cities and with least hassle. Shall I buy a Rail Pass(5 days in one month) or book separate tickets for each. I also read about the boat ride Vienna to Bratislava is it a good option?

Just a little more help is all I need.

Thanks

Hi there,

I'm planning to take an overnight train from Budapest to Krakow this August. I have two questions, in hopes someone here has taken this train before:

--What's the best website for pre-purchasing tickets for an entire couchette with three beds? And how far in advance can this be purchased?

--Do you think this night train would be easy or a mess to do with a toddler? We'll have our 3 1/2 year old in tow, and are concerned he might be woken up frequently by loud announcements or…

Hey everyone! Will be in Budapest for a big family trip. Everyone will be there at different times but I'm arriving April 22nd. I see a couples games will be played in town that day. Videoton at MTK Budapest. And Honved will be playing at Vasas. A couple questions about these games. Does the MTK game start at 6PM (18:00) local time and the Vasas game start at 8:30PM (20:30)? Whenever I pull up the schedules online, the games look pretty earlier but I'm thinking the websites are…

Hi Everyone,

Myself and two friends will be traveling to Budapest for 3 days in May. We are all in our mid 20's and was wondering what the best area is to stay in? We will be sight seeing during the day and partying at night. We thought it would be best to stay closest to the nightlife so we can walk home after the bars.

Thanks for all your help!

I'm planning on going to Balaton Sound with a friend, and was curious if anyone had any experience with their beach camping?

Some of the festivals I've been to, i.e. Roskilde, camping was absolutely amazing, an essential part of the festival itself. Others, i.e. Tomorrowland, it was very "secondary" and quite uncomfortable, thus easily skipped. We're debating if we want to camp at Balaton or just rent a room/apartment in Zamardi, so if anyone's experienced this festival before, I'd love any…
