Lonely Planet review for Trattoria Toscana
Hard by the Danube, this trattoria serves rustic and very authentic Italian and Tuscan food, including pasta e fagioli (890Ft), a hearty soup of beans and fresh pasta, and a wonderful Tuscan farmer’s platter (2350Ft) of prepared meats. The pizza and pasta dishes (1650Ft to 3890Ft) are excellent too.

house wine costs 41.50 euro for 5 glasses!!!! Bad news.
tomolot7 does not recommend this,
We ate at trattoria toscana our first night in Budapest.
My girlfriend asked for a glass of their house red without seeing a winelist I then followed suit It goes without saying that at the end of the meal we got a shock when the 5 glasses of house red (0.2dl) cost more than the rest of the meal combined. I asked the waiter about it and he seemed to think it was all in order and he even seemed a little annoyed at my inquiry? 10900 forint (41.50euro) for 5 regular glasses of house wine was normal? I ate at Klassz and csalogany 26 (top 2 picks in lonely planet budapest for eating) and the excellent wine didn't cost half as much!! Being ripped off left a very bad taste in our mouth'sGood for: Romance

Good meals, fair prices
beralc recommends this,
This might not be the cheapest Italian place in Budapest, but it certainly does what it offers and well. If you fancy some proper Italian food, do not hesitate to pop in this nice friendly restaurant.
