This kosher cake shop and cafe in the former ghetto, dating back to 1953, makes and sells old Jewish favourites (180Ft to 350Ft) like flódni (a three-layer cake with apple, walnut and poppy-seed fillings) as well as holiday sweets: for Purim there is kindli (cookies with nuts or poppy seeds) and hamentaschen (‘pocket’ biscuits filled with nuts and poppy seeds or apricot jam); and for Rosh Hashanah, lekach (honey and nut pastry).
