Lonely Planet review
Offering retro chic at its hippest, this erstwhile residence of the prime minister when parliament sat next door at No 8 (as seen on the back of the 20,000Ft note) has been refurbished but not altered substantially, with antique furnishings and modern art blending seamlessly in its eight guestrooms dedicated to local artists. The public rooms are light, breezy and enormous; one even has a piano. The only drawback is the lack of a lift.
