Introducing Aggtelek
The tiny town of Aggtelek is the main gateway to the Baradla-Domica caves, a network of some 25km of passageways (6km of them in Slovakia). The network was declared a dual-nation Unesco World Heri- tage Site in 1995, and a trip underground to see the array of red-and-black stalactite drip stones, stalagmite pyramids and enormous chambers is a highlight on most people's itineraries.
