Café Skandia information
An absolute institution in the city center, this classic 1950s-style cafe looks like it's been transplanted from an ocean liner with its marine blue color scheme and vintage chrome-and-white-leather seats. There's a vast window which overlooks the hotel's palm-fringed pool. All sorts of characters pass through: minor diplomats, sugar daddies with their ‘companions’ and even air-con-seeking backpackers. Menu-wise there's steaks, burgers, salads, sandwiches, milkshakes and lots of dessert action.
