Getting there & away
Nueva Ocotepeque has two long-distance bus companies, charging almost identical prices. Congolón is half a block south of parque central, on the road to El Poy (El Salvador). Toritos & Copaneca is two blocks north of the park, near the entrance of town. Buses run to various destinations, including the following.

La Entrada US$4, 2½ hours, 123km, take any San Pedro Sula bus
Tegucigalpa US$11, nine to 10 hours, take any San Pedro Sula bus midnight to 10:40am and transfer; one Toritos & Copaneca direct bus at 11pm, US$13
