El Pabellón Maya
This warehouse-type store has a variety of artesanía from Honduras, Guatemala, and Costa Rica. There's a fair share of kitsch but the Maya replicas are worth a stop. Prepare to have a staff member follow your every move.

Tallados en Piedra Lito
Perhaps the most enticing souvenirs in Copán are the high-quality Maya replicas made by Don Lito Lara and his son. Third- and fourth-generation sculptors, the Laras create their stone carvings in their modest home. Stop by during the day and you're likely to see one or both of them at work, always willing to tell you about their creations and show you around the workshop. Neither speaks much English, but Don Lito's daughter is often around to translate.
