Getting there & away
Santa Lucía is 14km northeast of Tegucigalpa, about 2km off the road leading to Valle de Ángeles and San Juancito. Buses leave Tegus every 45 to 60 minutes from 7:30am to 8pm (US$0.35, 30 minutes). Return buses leave Santa Lucía from 7:30am to 8pm. Alternatively, take an ordinario bus headed to Valle de Ángeles from Tegus, get off at the crossroads to town, and walk or hitch the 2km or so into town (all uphill).
