Cabañas Tío Mon
These beachfront cabins were under construction when we passed by. It looks like they’ll be fairly decent. It’s 2km east of town on the beach.
Hotel Plaza Centro
When we visited, this clean, well-tended hotel was home to many construction workers who are breaking ground on a major resort-home development nearby.
Casa Kiwi
Although it’s over 7km east of Trujillo, the isolation here has its advantages: guests get to know each other over beers and billiards in the airy dining area, and the beach out front is almost entirely yours.
Hotel O’Glynn
This is a good place to stay in the center of the town. The common areas are beautiful, modern and clean, but the rooms have seen better days, with threadbare sheets and sparse furnishings.
