Utila has an airstrip, but no terminal; buy tickets at World Wide Travel or Morgan’s Travel in town. Planes serving Utila range from small 20-seaters to tiny five-seaters – and they all fill up fast, so book a spot as early as possible.
Flights between Utila and Roatán save time you would otherwise spend changing ferries in La Ceiba, though at present there are scheduled flights only on Saturdays with CM Airlines. Aerolíneas Sosa flies between Utila and La Ceiba at 6am on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; CM Airlines flies only on Saturdays.
From La Ceiba you can continue to San Pedro Sula or Tegucigalpa. Flights to La Ceiba cost around L2000 and take 15 minutes.
