An excellent place to hang out - downstairs there's a pool table, upstairs a restaurant doing convincing versions of Thai, Indian and other Asian dishes.

Mike runs a damn good bar. The food is great, and the drinks are flowing. I love the comfy upstairs lounge. Do not miss their homemade chocolate brownie with ice cream. It's terrific!

I have been visiting San Pedro for many years now over the Xmas / New Years holidays....The Buddha has ALWAYS had the biggest New Years bash on Lake Atitlan! And this year they added another floor since they had gotten so popular - the bottom line is that if your are traveling thru Guatemala and Lake Atitlan, the Buddha needs to be on your itinerary!

The Buddha is several bars in one. During the day you can watch TV sports downstairs or chill out in the upstairs lounge. In the evening things pick up -- live music downstairs and movies on the 2nd level. The rooftop bar is due to open in days... it has amazing views of the town/lake (I had a preview).
The food is tasty and well priced. Lots of Asian fare and occasionally sushi. Try the Pho or Thai beef salad.
Turning to drinks: a great selection at very good prices. Happy hour lasts all day!
What more could you want?
