Lonely Planet review for Café de Imeri

Completely out of step with the majority of Zona 1 eateries, this place offers interesting breakfasts, soups and pastas. The list of sandwiches is impressive and there's a beautiful little courtyard area out back.

    The best bread in Guatemala City is found here.

    I always stop here on my way to the airport to pick up some "quesadillas" (a combination of cheese cake and pound cake). The Cafe also has excellent, whole grain "champurradas", a type of sweet bread, like plain cookies. Another of my favorites!
