Lonely Planet review for Restaurante Doña Luisa Xicotencatl

Probably Antigua's best-known restaurant, this is a place to enjoy the colonial patio ambience over breakfast or a light meal. The bakery here sells many kinds of breads, including whole grain. Check out the hot-from-the-oven banana bread daily at around 14:00.

where sure u leave with full stomach....

    balirebecca recommends this,

Like many restaurants in Anitgua,it's hidden in the back of the shops. Walk though a old time stone path and u will see a wonderful colonial style building and floral garden.

There is plenty seats outdoor and indoor. but still not so easy to find free seats. It's always full. Breakfast including pancake, fruit salad, American style and famous bread from their own bakery. The bakery is right in front of restaurant and people are in the big q for fresh banana bread and cookies!!

Salad is amazing! Big portion, fresh food, tasty! Enough for two girls. Patata rellena de chile con carne is a must try. Wide range of cake selection and pies give belly a happy ending. Coffee and other beverage keep good standard as food.

Various way of decoration all over the place. Photos, wall painting and deco art make the place really colorful. The Information board is well organize and very useful.

A good place to relax and satisfy your stomach. If you are alone and looking or quite place, this place might be bit noisy .
