The 'Crazy Monkey' is the place that everybody goes until they get sick of it, so often has a real party atmosphere with plenty of newcomers. It's a two-level place (semi-open-air upstairs, with benches and long tables), with North American and European sports on TV and good-value food.

With a back terrace overlooking the illuminated ruins of San Agustín church, Onis is another travelers' and students' haunt. Unlike some Antigua bars, it has a liquor license. There's good, economical food too.
