Look in the sky! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's yet another super resort scything the air with its postmodern wedge-shaped design. But this time, with a tad more taste.
The Westin's luxurious rooms feature a choice of city- or bay-view balconies. Bathrooms feature a 'fully customisable shower experience', complete with 'eight additional inches of elbow room'. What's that saying? Something about 'More money than…'? The promotional material bangs on about its 'Heavenly Bed®' concept: 'Unlike any other bed in the industry, the Heavenly Bed is our signature innovation, winning glowing reviews and loyal fans'. Talk about going the extra mile… Sure, the beds may be comfy but we doubt whether you'll notice that much difference between them and another resort's beds. The decor has a touch of actual individuality: it's all wood panelling and hidden angles, bequeathing a streamlined, retro-country-club effect. Bring your pipe and slippers for best results.
