Border to Saudi Arabia Awad and Claudia and a beautiful landscape
My wife and I travelled Jordan. The greatest adventure was Wadi Rum. We want to thank our guides Aodeh and Awad. We are now back in Germany but we always think of our wonderful stay in Wadi Rum. Thank you very much for the unforgettable travelling with Aodeh and Awad and the stay in Wadi Rum. The three days and nights were a great experience: amazing landscape, beautiful colours in the desert, the stars, different lights - but first of all we met wonderful Jordanian people.
Furthermore in the camp we met people from many countries: Libanon, Australia, South Africa, Zimbabwe and England.
Awad showed to us many interesting, amazing places in Wadi Rum. We got an impression of sun, heat, sand, landscape and life in the desert. Awad always prepared the food, the tea (as sweet as you want) and our beds in the desert - remote from the camp - under the amazing sky of stars. And we can say Awad drove the big car always carefully.
In the morning and in the afternoon I could walk a little bit. It happened that I walked so fast (or I looked so strange) that a camel herd fled. Awad and a Sudanese camel guide had hard to work to catch the camels.
When it became really hot (1-3 p.m.) Awad took us into shadow, prepared lunch and tea. We had a break. Relaxing - not so easy to do nothing ... It was time for a nap and time to think ... - for example about the importance of many things we are afraid of.
We will always remember these three days and nights in Wadi Rum with Awad. This year we travelled the second time to Jordan - the best was Wadi Rum. We can recommend to everybody to travel Wadi Rum. Aodeh (aodeh25@yahoo.com) managed everything perfectly and Awad was a wonderful guide.
If you travel the desert you should know that you will find in all camps sandy toilets and showers and the showers don“t have much water. Water is precious and must be saved.
