Advice for woman travelling alone in India and Nepal

I am a 27 year old female leaving in January to travel and work in Northeast India and Nepal for about 1 year. This is my first experience abroad and have so many questions. If anyone has travelled these areas before I would love the opportunity to start up a conversation, ask a lot of questions and get experienced, honest advice....thank you!!
kingtanti I just returned from the Khumbu region of Nepal. There were more single women trekking, than single men. I met some great people, along the way. You are never really alone.
