Travel the right way.... slow down and ride a bike

After ten years of traveling Europe on foot, by car and by train, I finally found the bike. If you are visiting any city worldwide, rent a bicycle for a day or even for the week. Explore the city, or take the time to get out to the country side and smaller towns. You could also do what I did, and take an organized bike tour, where hotels and food are planned, and there are local and entertaining guides to take you to the best places. VBT Bike Tours took me to the Tuscan Coast, and I got to see everything from the seat of a bike.
It doesn't matter how you do it, just try the secret of travel with a bicycle.

alexcheeseman Great tip! After a long-haul flight I always try to get some exercise wether it's going for a run or going to the gym to beat the jet lag. Next time I'm going to take a bike for a few hours, get some fresh air and see some sights.
