Hello fellow bloggers. How do you protect your content (photos & text)? I'm not too sure how a copyright works. I'm not sure what kind of disclaimer needs to be displayed on your blog. Any tips?

pupstar Ultimately there really is no way to protect your content as long as you are publishing it on the web, but you can do some things to deter people from stealing it.
-put a copyright notice on your website
-watermark a copyright symbol on your photos (see examples of mine on my blog http://www.delapuravida.com)
-turn trackbacks and pingbacks on for your wordpress posts
-check this site http://www.copyscape.com/ for copies of your text floating around
-there are also plug-ins for wordpress that are suppose to protect against right-click saves on images, but I don't have experience using any of them. I'm a little hesitant to add too many plug-ins b/c I don't want to slow my site down.over 1 year ago · report
