LA - Beyond The Airport
I had a 24 hour stop over in LA on my way from London to Auckland. Grabbed a taxi into Santa Monica (late evening), had a shower and much needed sleep. Got up early the following morning, walked along Santa Monica beach... window shopped along Third Street Boulevard and relaxed in the sunshine in various cafes and on the beach front. Taxi back to LAX early evening. Not the most original way to spend a day, but pleasant nonetheless! I loved being called Ma'am.
This group is to share tips and ideas for stop-overs all over the world. Stop overs will be split in two: AIRPORT ONLY - 1-4hrs and BEYOND THE AIRPORT - 4-24hrs. Beyond 24hrs it will not be considered a stop-over. The idea is to share tips, insights, ideas to get the most out of your stop over, whatever it is you want to do: rest, explore, shop, party, etc.
