Hotel California. Everywhere.
Has anyone here ever had the experience of hearing a cover band play "Hotel California" EVERYWHERE THEY'VE EVER BEEN IN THE WORLD? I swear, i've heard this song covered in Jakarta, Nairobi, Johannesburg, Istanbul, Managua, Vancouver and Perth. I was in the middle of the Costa Rican rainforest, and someone was singing it while carrying water. What is with this? Am I the only one?

bukowski1 agree 100%. you can't escape it and does my head in! I reckon you could write a PhD on this bizarre occurrence. There's got to be some reason for it, as while it's no doubt a catchy song it's not that great. Add Southeast Asia to your list - where it's like the regional anthem, On a recent trip to Pokhara in Nepal, i took a count - and heard it 4 times in one day all in different locations! Bob Marley is also omnipresent (but i guess that's easier to understand, and it's not always the same, one goddamn song).
